There are many great advantages of taking a mid-week break in Aviemore. The shops, attractions and activity centres are less busy, you don’t have to be at work and all the things that make Aviemore and the Cairngorms such a great place to visit are still there to be enjoyed.

Furthermore, if you’re not travellng by car, travel costs can be cheaper too, as many rail and flight companies charge peak time rates on Fridays and at weekends.

So if you crave a truly relaxing short break in the Scottish highlands, then going mid-week could be perfect. Less hurly burly, more time and space to go as you please.

See Cairngorms National Park  at your own pace, and generally feel more calm and peaceful. With so many fantastic things to see and do, it’s no wonder the highlands  get very busy indeed at the weekends, so, if you can, take a mid-week break and escape all the weekend hustle and bustle, that’s the whole point of a relaxing break after all!

Mid week short breaks are always more likely to be available in low season, outside school holidays, although it's always worth checking first.
