shooting & stalking in Aviemore
We will make your hunting holiday in Scotland a great success. We organise shooting in many surrounding Highland Estates - we are spoilt for choice. With some of the best deer stalking and challenging shooting available in the country. You will be guided by experienced Gamekeepers and Stalkers, who will be available to give you guidance and advice.
Grouse
Grouse shooting in Scotland is very special, and parties come to Speyside every August and September to enjoy this unique sport in our superb surroundings. Bookings can be made either for walked-up shooting or for driven birds, but need to be made about 9 months in advance and occasionally shooting may be cancelled due to disastrous nesting season.
Low ground
Pheasant and rough shooting can also be arranged for November to the end of January. This is very popular with guests particularly those wanting mixed weeks of pheasants, mountain hares etc. Again bookings need to be made well in advance. For overseas visitors, it is essential to obtain a permit to bring shotguns into the country. This takes about 2 months, and estates insist on proof of third party insurance prior to letting anyone enjoy their sport.
Stalking
Red deer abound in the Cairngorms and surrounding area, and many estates
let stalking in September and October for stags, and November to February
for hinds. Again ample booking time is required, and again permits for
imported weapons and proof of insurance are essential.
